La creuse is an ancient region in central France. Its main attraction is its stunningly beautiful countryside full of woodlands and rivers. The area is extremely rich in wildlife that can easily be spotted out in the open and within our camping site or on our smallholding courses.
It is the least populated region of France, yet provides a multitude of activities and places to visits on your holiday.
The local region offers you beautiful marked hiking trails (from easy to very difficult) & wonderful marked mountain biking trails (from easy to very difficult and downhill). The local roads are also a dream for road cyclists. The many lakes and rivers also provide great swimming (with lifeguards), fishing, kayak or even sailing opportunities for adult and children. The region is perfect for wildlife watching and photography. Rural and urban Geocache trails are also available. The local medieval and market towns are a delight to explore with authentic shopping, local restaurants, museums and chateaux visits.
